Autumn 2011

It's a new season! The first term and all the holidays are way behind us, Easter celebtations have also come and gone and we're already tasting some wintery weather! 

1st May and we've come to the end of our 1 John series..... "We can certainly know whether we are saved and the hallmarks of being a Christian are that we worship Jesus as God, we hate sin and we love God & love people!"

8th May - Kieran & Glenda McClean will be back to minister to us - "And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations."

Starting 15th May -  Eight weeks of End Time teaching - JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN!!

January/February 2011

The year has started off well with everything back into swing. We are two weeks into our book study of 1 John and expect to carry on untill about Easter.

Our precept class resumes this Monday 31st January with part 3 of the Revelation Study - "What is the sign of His coming and the end of the age?"

Please be reminded of our time of corporate prayer on Thursdays from 5 - 6pm.

The mens early morning meeting on Fridays 6 - 7am has also resumed.

Dates to remember:

11 - 13th Feb - Teen camp at Sumcay (Ernst & Ingrid Ferg will lead the service on Sunday 13th.)

Saturday 19th Feb - Evangelism training with Lex Loisides from Jubilee Community Church Cape Town at Joy to the Nations (7pm).

Sunday 20th Feb - Evangelistic evening service at Joy to the Nations (6.30pm). An opportunity to invite unsaved family & friends!!

NB! No morning service on 20th Feb.

Friday 25th Feb - City Celebration at The Storehouse (7pm).

Sunday 12th - No morning service. Bring and braai @ 16h30 at the church followed by carols by candlelight.  Invite your friends!

November happenings

Thank you Ernst & Ingrid Ferg for standing in for us on Sunday 31st October..... a great weekend away was had by us!

The start of our book study of 1 John has been moved to the new year.

Sunday 7th - Kim preached on God's great days (Revelation 16:17)

Sunday 14th - Jeremy & Marlene Sieberhagen (OM) will be presenting aspects of the their work in Central Asia to us.

Sunday 21st - "Healing and the increased authority of preaching" (Pete)

Sunday 28th - We look forward to being served by leaders from The Store House (NCMI Lorraine). Dale & Sally King will be ministering in the Children's Church and Chanelle Roussouw will be ministering prophetically to us as a congregation. May we truly hear God's direction for us in this season!!

4th Term

The new term starts tomorrow after the little breather we've just enjoyed...... Cape Equip 2010 also already behind us. A great time was had at Church on Main in Claremont Cape Town!

Our regular/activities meetings are all resuming this week. Children's Church at 9am on Sundays, Teens on Fridays, Precept bible studies currently on Monday evenings (Revelation Study).

Starting Friday 15th October we'll be meeting for coffee & bible study for around an hour @ 6am. Sorry, men only!!

Note! Thursday eve prayer meetings continue as per usual from 5 - 6pm.

Our Sunday series on Colossians is almost done! We end this series on Sunday 24th October. It's been a fruitful time and we continue to trust that we will keep growing & maturing as individual children of God and as the local body as we submit to God's moulding & shaping through His wonderful & magnificant word.

Summary: JESUS + Nothing = Everything and Everything - JESUS = Nothing

The next book to look forward to: 1 John starting in November.
